Yard of the Month - September 2007 |
The September winner of the Belmont Addition Yard-of-the-Month is 5701 Velasco. Thanks for making our neighborhood more beautiful.
Nominations can be made by any BACD resident for any property in BACD. (New construction homes are welcome too, not just original homes.) Anyone willing to participate on the committee will be able to vote, no commitment is required.

This year’s party was November 4, at the corner of Goliad and Concho. The chili cook off and the the sugary showdown were a huge hit with the grownups while the petting zoo and the bounce house kept the kids busy. We raised a good deal of money for neighborhood beautification projects through the silent auction and the raffle. Stay tuned for details.

| One of our projects for 2007 is to get BACD House Plaques - these are solid bronze plaques that you can put on the front of your house. The plaques are 10" x 7". We ordered the prototype after Fall Party (we had to order it and approve it first). Well, it looks great! Click on the photo above to see it full size. The first order of plaques was placed a couple of weeks ago, and we expect to have them in March. We ordered a couple extra...first come, first serve. We plan to do a second order this year as well. the price is $110 per plaque. All extra funds go into the neighborhood kitty! If you want yours installed, the price is $120.
